Established in 1968, Mersey Vale Memorial Park serves as a central burial ground for the Devonport region in Tasmania. Spanning over 25 hectares, the park offers a serene environment for reflection and remembrance, featuring well-maintained lawns and dedicated memorial areas.

History & Significance

  • Founding Agreement: The memorial park was developed through a collaborative agreement among the Devonport, Latrobe, and Kentish municipalities, aiming to provide a unified lawn cemetery for the area. In 2008, after the 40-year agreement concluded, the Devonport City Council assumed full ownership and management of the park.
