Dasher + Fisher, located in Devonport, Tasmania, is renowned for producing premium spirits that capture the essence of the region's pristine environment. Founded by George Burgess in 2014, the distillery made its public debut in 2017 and has since become a prominent name in the Australian craft spirits industry.


The distillery's flagship brand, Dasher + Fisher, offers a range of gins inspired by Tasmania's diverse landscapes:

  • Mountain Gin: Infused with native pepperberry, reflecting the rugged highlands.
  • Meadow Gin: Featuring lavender, capturing the essence of Tasmania's fields.
  • Ocean Gin: Incorporating wakame seaweed, embodying the coastal environment.


These gins have garnered international acclaim, with notable awards including:

  • World's Best London Dry Gin: Awarded to Dasher + Fisher Mountain Gin in 2017 at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition.
  • Distiller of the Year: Received in 2018 for Dasher + Fisher Mountain Gin and Dasher + Fisher Sloe Gin.
  • Best Australian Gin: Awarded to Dasher + Fisher Strawberry Gin in 2019 at the London World Liqueur Awards.


At the heart of Dasher + Fisher is a custom-designed 1,000-liter copper still, crafted by local artisans. This unique still allows for a meticulous distillation process, enhancing the purity and flavor of their spirits.


Visitors to the distillery can enjoy tastings and purchase bottles at the cellar door.
